DESTINI, Research & Development




Topic

The public funded research project DESTINI aims on the development of solar thermal modules with large heatpipe integrated louvres. The automated louvres are pivot-mounted and orient to the sun. A demonstrator facade is realized at the Priedemann Facade-Lab, featuring a sunscreen as additional layer of the south oriented entrance facade and an outdoor living concept in front of the building. Both concepts are connected to the building’s heating system and are monitored against their energy performance and efficiency during operation.
