The MossFacT greening concept is based on the development of frame elements for ventilated rainscreen facades in which mosses are integrated by a 3D textile.
The aim of the research project was to achieve facade greening with low maintenance requirements and versatile application options. A key aspect is the sol-gel technology which is used to coat immobilized moss spores on textiles, which subsequently become part of the modular system.
