2nd Desert Architecture Mena ForumWe are pleased to announce that Anees Backer and Irina Tadello will participate in the 2nd Desert Architecture MENA Forum in Dubai, contributing to key discussions on the future of building in extreme climates.
On day one, Anees Backer joins the panel ‘Future Facades: Balancing Aesthetics, Performance, and Climate Resilience’, exploring how facade systems can adapt to heat, glare, and dust while balancing energy efficiency, cultural relevance, and long-term performance.
On day two, Irina Tadello moderates ‘Designing the Net Zero Desert’, discussing how architectural innovation, renewable energy systems, passive design strategies, and cross-disciplinary collaboration can support the UAE’s journey toward Net Zero 2050 in extreme desert environments.
Across both sessions, one point becomes clear: the performance of the building envelope under extreme conditions directly influences energy demand, durability, and occupant comfort.
We look forward to exchanging perspectives on what resilient architecture must deliver in practice today.

REAL ESTATE ARENATwo Days at the Real Estate Arena – Who’s In?
On 10 and 11 June, Thierry Feike will be attending the REAL ESTATE ARENA.
A perfect opportunity for conversations, spontaneous encounters, and genuine exchange beyond calls and emails.
For us, the Real Estate Arena is at its most compelling when brief encounters evolve into substantive discussions—about projects, interfaces, and the challenges currently shaping our planning and implementation processes.
If you’re in Hannover and open to a short conversation:
Thierry looks forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones.
See you next week at the Real Estate Arena.
